Latest tape release on Hooker Vision on February 2012!

“Gorgeous and damaged outsider pop from this former Florida noisemaker now residing in California. For the first Aloonaluna cassette, Lynn Fister offers us an intimate set of slowly enchanting dream pop lullabies in the southern gothic tradition.”

Aloonaluna is Lynn Fister’s recording project.
Lynn started doing solo recordings in 2008 in Panacea, Florida and Tallahassee, Florida, integrating found sound samples with acoustic instruments.

Soon Lynn started collaborating with singer-songwriter harp player Caitlin Dunn, french bassist and guitar player Thierry Penduff, multi-instrumentalist William Chase and percussionist Robbie Goethe.

Together, under the same moniker, these band members recorded a split 7in with fellow Tallahassee band Starry Crowns late 2009.
A double-disc self-titled album followed suit in late 2010.

These albums make use of field recordings, Wurlitzer organ, fuzzed out bass, keyboards, out-of-tune grand upright from Outz, harp, guitars, drums, drum machines, accordion, banjos, water, bowls….. et cetera… Both Christopher Fleeger and Jacklyn Attaway contribute to these albums as well. … source: http://aloonaluna.com/

Flavio Diners, vinyl collector and Producer from Thuringia (Germany), started his musical career in 1998.
He is one of the masterminds behind the label Palham Music and creator of the Palham Radio Show, which is broadcasted on Motion FM.

In 2007 he started the sound blog “Merseburger Baude” in order to provide a platform for DJ-Mixes of local heroes and artist he favors as well, and therefore he wishes to promote.
Furthermore, he is responsible for many flyers and artwork projects and also hosts a local Club Night at the Hörbar (Eisenach).
His versatility is also reflected in his DJ Sets, which can cover many styles of electronic music.

The mix presented here is one of these somewhat unusual music collections inspired by the spirit of native rhythms
and his predilection for sound experiments. It goes without saying that the sound is exclusively played from vinyl.

The Blog Dust & Grooves is a photo and interview project documenting and exalting vinyl records and the people who love them.

“With a website launched in October 2008 by Brooklyn-based professional photographer and vinyl addict Eilon Paz, D&G profiles individual collectors from all over the world in their natural environment – usually at home with their personal collections. Each subject is interviewed in depth about their desire for vinyl, then each conversation is paired with a beautiful series of portrait photographs by Eilon that capture the heart and soul of this passionate avocation. Together, words and images tell the story of the love affair between collector and collection.”

And here comes an appetizer …

This is a Turkish Psych compilation compiled exclusively for Dust & Grooves by Emek Can Tulus from Istanbul, Turkey.
Emek is a record collector who lives in Istanbul, Turkey. He is featured in Dust & Grooves, a photo project
and blog dedicated to the world of vinyl collecting.

Nice journey!
